So we did it…we got hitched!!! Now what?

Traditions typically demand folks to buy a house, work the career and plan for children.  Well who says you cannot break tradition and pack your life into backpacks and travel to unknown parts of the world.  We are doing exactly that and starting our marriage by enriching it with a 7-month voyage throughout Asia. It will be an exhilarating adventure full of stories and emotions, so please join us throughout our adventure.

Our motto is “Live Life by a Compass”. Often we get tied down by going through the motions of life and living it by a clock that we forget how to just ‘live’ in the moment. Life should be full of adventure, overcoming challenges, and loving those around you. We will strive to build our next chapter based on those principles, formulate new principles that work for us, and chase as many dreams as possible.

Vanessa A. Rodriguez

With an insatiable appetite for adventure, happiness, and care giving, Vanessa is someone who wears her heart on her sleeve at all times.  As an ICU nurse, Vanessa without a doubt puts the lives of others before her own glory.  As she continues to pursue her Master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner, she embraces the idea of learning about other cultures, new ideas, and new adventure.

While exploring Nicaragua and Iceland, Vanessa’s passion for travel was growing quietly. With Jason by her side she look forwards to the pleasures that Asia has to offer.

Jason W. Rodriguez

Explorer by heart.  Jason’s appetite for wanderlust occurred in 2009 when he set about a solo voyage around the world for a full year.  With nothing but the backpack on his back, he headed East with only a direction in mind and circumnavigated the world.  Those desires to to explore never really faded but only magnified when he met Vanessa.
